Stihl HLA 66 Cordless Long Reach Hedge Trimmer (Tool Only)

The HLA 66 is a new professional lightweight cordless long-reach hedge trimmer in the AP system product range. An evolution of the HLA 65 with better balance for less fatigue during operation, a new ergonomic control handle with the self resetting Ergo lever for left and right handers all packaged in a new stylish design.

A loop handle for use on the tops of hedges, a catcher plate and base protector are all available as accessories. Perfect for the majority of tall and wide hedges at 205 cm long with a 50cm/20” double side, double edge blade and adjustable working angle head from -45° to +70°. The head will also fold flat for easy transport at just 132 cm total length.

Perfect for small garden maintenance businesses, grounds keepers, gardeners and landscapers for trimming of tall hedges, side and top growth with catcher plate. The HLA 66 provides constant work output, good balance, excellent cutting performance and use in the rain and wet conditions is possible.

Intuitive control handle

The ergonomic operating handle has an intuitive start process and is easy to use for right and left hand users.

Double-sided cutting plate

The double-sided cutting plate is ground on both sides and ensures a clean cutting pattern.

Quick-adjustment system

The cutter bar can be adjusted from -45° to 70° and can be folded and locked parallel to the shaft for transport.

The STIHL brushless electric motor (EC) is very energy efficient and practically maintenance free. Thanks to its outstanding efficiency, the battery power is directly translated into impressive performance. During operation, the electronically controlled EC motor permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly

Blade guard

For protection of the blade and to allow safe, easy transport this cordless long reach hedge trimmer is equipped with a blade guard.

Tip protector

Protects the tip of the hedge trimmer's cutting blade from wear and tear while working in contact with the ground.

Quick release bracket for telescopic shaft harness

AP 200 Battery

36 V, 4.8 Ah Lithium-Ion battery. The AP 200 offers excellent run times on our cordless tools. The battery has an integrated LED charge indicator, clearly displaying as and when the battery needs charging.

AP 300 Battery

36 V, 6.0 Ah Lithium-Ion battery. The AP 300 offers increased run times for those bigger jobs. The battery has an integrated LED charge indicator, clearly displaying as and when the battery needs charging.

AP 300S

36 V Battery, 7.2 Ah Lithium-Ion battery. The AP 300 S is a high capacity battery that powers any tool within the STIHL AP System. With an energy capacity of 281 Wh, this battery offers an impressive 25% increase in capacity compared to the AP 300, meaning this battery will consistantly power AP System tools for longer. The battery has an integrated LED charge indicator, clearly displaying as and when the battery needs charging.

AL 500 Hi-speed charger

230 V hi-speed quick charger, recommended for STIHL AP System batteries (can also be used with AK System batteries). With operating mode indicator and active battery cooling. Cable tie with Velcro strap. The charger can be wall mounted if required.

Superclean

This graphite and lubricating mineral oil based cleaner is ideal for cleaning cutting attachments, hedge trimmer blades and chainsaws. It dissolves resin, prevents rust and removes dirt from your cutting blade. It also provides lubrication and protection from corrosion for when you next use your tool.

To use Superclean, simply spray it onto the cutting tool after use. Then, run the cutting tool through for a brief moment and leave the machine, so it’s ready for the next time you use it.
